甲 · Jia · Yang Wood
A 甲 (Jia) Day Master means the heavenly stem of your birth day is 甲: Yang Wood, whose image is the tall tree. Jia Wood is the tall tree that grows straight up: principled, persistent, slow to bend.
What it fears is not wind but having no soil to root in and no sun to grow toward. The recurring lesson is: root first, then rise.
Lines from the classics for this Day Master
A tree you can barely embrace grows from a tiny shoot; a nine-story terrace rises from a basket of earth; a journey of a thousand miles begins beneath your feet.
— 《道德经》第六十四章
The mountain tree invites its own felling; the grease fire fries itself. Cinnamon is edible, so it is cut down; lacquer is useful, so the tree is gashed.
— 《庄子·人间世》
Heaven moves with strength; so the noble person makes themself strong and does not rest.
— 《周易·乾卦·象传》
